Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to discuss the possibilities of conceiving, at the present time, the educational practice as having an aesthetic dimension in its processes of transmission and reception of systematic knowledge, as a means of political resistance to the instrumental rationality to which reflection on the meanings of this activity has become irrelevant. To this end, we resort to the work of Kant and Jean Francois Lyotard, particularly at their reflections on the aesthetics of the sublime, in order to analyze the possible correlation between artistic production and reception aesthetics and communicative process comprising the school-teaching relationship, focusing on the aesthetic implications of the teaching that they might become objects of philosophical reflection of the teacher.

O objetivo desse trabalho consiste em discutir as possibilidades de se conceber, no tempo presente, a práxis educativa como portadora de uma dimensão estética em seus processos de transmissão e recepção dos saberes sistemáticos, como um meio de resistência política à racionalidade instrumental para a qual a reflexão sobre os sentidos dessa atividade tornou-se irrelevante. Para tanto, recorre-se à obra de Kant e de Jean François Lyotard, sobretudo às suas reflexões sobre a estética do sublime, com o intuito de analisar as possíveis correspondências entre a produção artística e a recepção estética e o processo comunicativo que compreende a relação pedagógica escolarizada, focalizando as implicações estéticas do ofício de ensinar que poderiam se tornar objetos da reflexão filosófica do professor.
